Intralox LLC is seeking a highly motivated and self-managed individual to work as a Warehouse Supervisor for its Baltimore Assembly plant. As a key member of the Materials Management team, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the direct supervision of the Warehouse Departments while practicing the Laitram Continuous Improvement Philosophy

Job Responsibilities

  • Prioritize SAFETY at all times.
  • Manage day-to-day planning for warehouse activities according to the Operations business plan.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership to overcome obstacles.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, introspection, and resilience in the face of constant change and challenges.
  • Assess capacity of the team and assist in hiring and training of all new employees in the Warehouse Departments.
  • Work with internal and external vendors to improve pre-receiving process with standardized labels for efficient receiving and standard containerization to optimize put-away.
  • Manage dunnage reduction/recycling programs and pallet/container exchange programs.
  • Establish minimum performance standards for each individual employee, evaluating employees’ performance against those standards, and providing feedback to promote individual improvement.
  • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork to ensure set productivity targets are met.
  • Assess capacity relative to demand in mid to long term so that service levels are maintained at highest level.
  • Ensure smooth flow of received parts from receiving to put-away
  • Continuously improve the performance and activities of the Support group through the use of KPI’s, and focus on productivity
  • Measure and report the results of department activities, including on-time part receipts and put-way,

Requirements

  • DESIRE TO LEAD, DEVELOP & MENTOR OTHERS.
  • Driven to accomplish assignments through teamwork and communication.
  • Superior people skills.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Experience implement Advance Shipping Notice (ASN).
  • Experience with Oracle License Plating.
  • Experience with warehouse replenishment strategies.
  • 4yr degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Able to communicate both verbal and written.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position as detailed in the functional job description,
  • Be available for occasional for overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications/Education

  • Previous supervisory experience in Warehousing/Logistics/Shipping environment
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience conducting performance reviews
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Must be willing and able to perform a variety of tasks in support of the short- and long-term goals of the Baltimore plant
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS systems would be an advantage
