This opportunity is for change agents with a sharp business mind and a proven ability to plan, implement and scale programs. Working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, you will lead the development of training and documentation for one of Intralox most important market segments to help customers’ employees build and apply the knowledge and skills needed to optimally operate, maintain, and troubleshoot our sortation systems. This role is located in our office in Hanover, MD.

  • Manage the development, delivery and maintenance of customer training and technical communications, including planning, workflow, content management, internal and external stakeholder management, and vendor relationships to ensure timely completion of high quality and differentiating blended training, user manuals, performance support tools, online help, and quick reference guides. 
  • Develop a continuous improvement roadmap that includes content strategy, technology, and operations of our Training and Technical Communications team. 
  • Drive the development and scaling of standards, processes, and governance structures that leverage existing infrastructure of the Training and Technical Communication Department  
  • Define, analyze, and report on program success metrics. Evaluate and provide recommendations on improving the effectiveness for enhanced business impact, scalability, and relevance  
  • Collaborate with various people across the business on the planning and implementation of new programs, services, and projects. 
  • Lead, hire, train, supervise, coach, and develop a team of technical writers, instructional designers and Project Manager so they can work at their best every day. 
  • Cultivate internal and external relationships based on trust and respect that enable mutual enduring customer value.  
  • Drive best practices and standardization across business units and regions. 
  • University degree in related field.
  • 7 years of professional experience in learning and development and/or technical documentation, ideally in an industrial environment.  
  • Knowledge of agile methods, learning principles, structured authoring and content management a plus. 
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience, preferably in a customer facing environment. Proven skills in planning, prioritizing, managing multiple tasks/projects and delivering results with tight deadlines. 
  • Critical thinker who naturally see opportunities to develop and optimize work processes – finding ways to simplify, standardize and automate. 
  • Impressive track record of immersing in the needs of the business, working collaboratively, quickly forming a network of relationships, setting and achieving high standards, taking calculated risks, and learning from mistakes.  
  • Understands and applies big picture thinking to create strategic roadmaps and objectives and takes initiative to organize and develop people, processes, and systems to execute. 
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with high levels of ambiguity and change. 
  • Introspective, superb communication skills, eager to grow and build skills.

Preferred Skills: 
  • Familiarity with MS Project, Adobe InDesign, Articulate, XML editors, and CAD related software. 
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical engineering design concepts and practices.
