 Our in-house global marketing department is looking to hire a Trade Show Equipment Technician to manage and deploy conveyance equipment for shows and events around the U.S.  The ideal candidate values teamwork, continuous improvement, self-management, and personal growth.  


  • Travel to U.S. trade shows to set-up and dismantle equipment.  Remain on-site during shows, as needed, to provide equipment support.  (Travel averages 5 trips per year between January-April and September-October, lasting 8-11 days per trip.)

  • Inspect and test equipment for functionality upon return from shows and prior to shipping.  Repair or upgrade equipment, as needed. 

  • Update equipment inventory information in database.  Track stored and shipped inventory, and document equipment repairs and upgrades. 

  • Prepare and crate equipment for shipment, sourcing new crates or modify existing ones, as needed.  

  • Coordinate with shipping resource regarding logistics.

  • Assemble small technical demonstration units and equipment displays    

  • Create processes to increase daily efficiencies  

  • Create and update trade show equipment standards to accurately represent Intralox

  • Maintain organization in trade show room and manage schedule   

  • Collaborate with team members to create a disposal plan for obsolete equipment  


  • Associates degree in engineering technology or related field experience

  • Strong, hands-on mechanical experience  

  • Experience in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting

  • General knowledge of electrical wiring.  Basic code logic appreciated.

  • Understanding and knowledge of Solidworks and AutoCAD.  Strong 3D modeling skills preferred but not required. 

  • Ability to travel up to 11 days at a time

  • Ability to prioritize and manage full scope of a project, adhering to critical project timelines

  • Highly organized – able to create schedules and keep deadlines, skilled at creating documentation, communicates clearly with others

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Excel spreadsheet tools

  • Process Driven

  • Pays attention to details and understands how to make items presentable and “show ready”

  • Self-managed and motivated

  • Is proactive and has a passion for continuous improvement

  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker

  • Ability to lift 50lbs
