Responsibilities:
As a key member of the ThermoDrive management team, the Lead Person will be responsible for the following:
- Gets the day-to-day job done:
- Coordinates activities of production personnel in support of completing all day-to-day operational objectives with employee safety as the top priority.
- Becomes an expert in all facets of the ThermoDrive operation, including the ability to troubleshoot.
- Helps employees succeed:
- Participates in the hiring of new employees and the training of new/existing employees.
- Participates in employee performance feedback and planning. Must be able to coach/motivate/help employees achieve their maximum potential.
- Works to identify resources and actions required for employees to achieve their individual goals and monitors progress.
- Passionate advocate of continuous improvement:
- Identifies process improvements and works with others to implement with the right sense of urgency.
- Conducts on-going Issues meetings with production personnel, prioritizes those issues and works to develop/implement solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven success in identifying and implementing meaningful process improvements.
- Must possess a strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience working with all MS Office applications. Experience with Oracle a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Must be able to work well with others.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail.
- Willing to work overtime and on weekends as required.
- Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
- Must be willing and able to perform a variety of tasks in support of the short- and long-term goals of the Assembly department.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with Radio Frequency Welders, machining/pneumatic equipment and ancillary manufacturing equipment a plus
- Production, Materials Management or Warehousing experience a plus
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory or lead person position.
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, Engineering or related disciplines.
