Intralox is hiring a Testing Application Engineer for the Logistics and Material Handling (LMH) group to lead the implementation of conveyor systems set-up for testing in-house and for start-ups, commissioning, and installation support in the field. 

This role will be part of a growing team specialized in turnkey material handling solutions for Intralox’s LMH  division with a high focus on the warehouse and e-commerce postal & parcel industry. The team works closely with customers to determine their needs and then designs, engineers, manufactures, assembles, installs, commissions, trains and supports conveyance and sortation solutions. 

Ideally, the position will be based at our Wehl (Gelderland) facility.

What Will You Do?
  • Lead and implement the test set-up of the system/Equipment according to layout and test plans
  • Create layouts for the Testing Area to configure the designed concept with clear instructions on how to set up equipment and components
  • Assist with solution development, installation support, project commissioning, training, and troubleshooting in-house and in the field.
  • Ensure professional set-up of equipment in-house to demonstrate solutions to customers
  • Professionally report the test outcome with data analysis and performance improvement suggestions
  • Plan and communicate proactively with stakeholders e.g. reporting work progress, risks, an estimate of hours, etc. 
  • Maintain and update global test databases.
  • Collaborate with other teams including but not limited to Sales, Operations, Engineers, Programmers, Project Managers, Assembly, IT, and Warehouse personnel as well as Technical writers, installation and commissioning teams
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and regular meetings
  • Attend training to continuously improve skillsets. 
  • Stay aligned and connected globally with the current equipment team organization and processes to leverage best practice of test and install executions 
Who Are You?
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, Solidworks and Video editing (e.g. Camtasia or equivalent). Familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP and Demo 3D simulation software is a plus
  • Able to understand and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings 
  • Able to understand manufacturer data sheets and apply them in practice
  • Good problem-solving mindset  
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the English language (other languages would be a plus)
  • Available to travel when required to meet customers, to support installations, commissioning and/or to conduct operational and maintenance training, occasional system troubleshooting, and trade shows. At certain periods of the year, or for some strategic projects, traveling requirements could be more than 30% of the time
  • Able to build a successful relationship with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Detail-oriented and organized. Good project management skills 
  • Self-managed but comfortable working both independently and as part of a team 
  • Enthusiastic about continuous learning and personal growth
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines
