We are seeking an experienced change agent with a sharp business mind and a proven ability to plan, implement and scale programs. Working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, you will lead the strategy and development of training and documentation to help our customers’ employees build and apply the competence and confidence to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot our sortation systems. This role can be based in our New Orleans, LA or Hanover, MD office.

Responsibilities:
- Define the strategy and implementation of customer-facing technical training and documentation, aligned with the company's goals and in collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Manage the development, delivery, and maintenance of customer-facing technical training and documentation, including planning, workflow, internal and external stakeholder management, and vendor relationships.
- Drive the development of continuous improvement and best practices, standards, processes, and governance structures that improve productivity of the department.
- Define, analyze, and report on program success metrics. Provide recommendations on improving the effectiveness for enhanced business impact, scalability, and relevance.
- Partner with various people across the business to plan, coordinate and implement new programs, services, and projects.
- Manage and mentor a team of high-performance Technical Writers, Instructional Designers, Trainers and Project Managers so they can work at their best every day.
- Cultivate internal and external relationships based on trust and respect and win/win value creation.
Requirements:
- University degree in technical communications, education or a related field
- 7+ years experience in learning and development and/or technical documentation, ideally in an industrial environment. Familiarity with mechanical and electrical engineering design concepts and practices is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction, manage projects and teams, and influence stakeholders.
- Critical thinker who naturally sees opportunities to develop and optimize processes, finding ways to simplify, standardize and automate.
- Track record of working collaboratively, quickly forming a network of relationships, setting and achieving high standards, taking calculated risks, and learning from mistakes.
- Introspective, superb communication skills, eager to grow and achieve excellent results
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with high levels of ambiguity and change
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of agile methods, structured authoring and content management is a plus.
