Intralox, L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Technical Trainer in its Hanover, MD office. The position is for a Technical Trainer on the Postal & Parcel Integration Team. The Postal & Parcel Integration Team specializes in turnkey material handling solutions for the mailing industry. The team works closely with customers to determine their needs and then design, engineer, manufacture, install, commission, train, and support conveyance and sortation solutions to fit their needs. The desired candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with a willingness to self-teach and study complicated engineering products and systems. This position requires travel (up to 40%) with some work taking place on holidays and weekends to meet customer scheduling requirements.


  • Coordinate the preparation and execution of system mechanical, electrical/controls, and maintenance/troubleshooting training.
  • Manage the development of training material and scheduling from project kick-off to completion.
  • Use technology to continuously improve the content, look/feel, and tools used in training.
  • Maintain training kits with correct samples for each system.
  • Able to self-manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Develop training to address specific business needs identified by product/process audits and performance metrics.
  • Establish a system and help evaluate trainees for the effectiveness of training and individual employee growth.
  • Coordinates resources needed to carry out training.
  • Coordinate the delivery of training in multiple formats including classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, web-conferences, and workshops.
  • Maintain collateral for training sessions such as user guides, technical documentation, online resources, and other marketing/promotional and supporting materials.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of course content.
  • Ensure effective and efficient delivery of training by assessing training needs, tracking participation in training sessions, analyzing user satisfaction by gathering feedback and implementing a measurement process, and maintaining records on all session offerings, registrations, and attendance.
  • Plan and conduct presentations and webinars as needed.


  • BS in related field from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience
  • Possess knowledge of effective training techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of management, production, and engineering employees
  • Ability to work across departments to ensure effective teamwork and motivate personnel to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the training plan
  • Initiative, motivation, creativity, and ability to understand many areas of operations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-managed with strong attention to detail
  • Availability to work overtime and on weekends as required
