The Position
The primary role of this position within the Equipment Proposals & Project Management (PPM) department is to define project scope, develop technical proposals for Intralox's ARB Equipment product line and conduct excellent project management and project execution. You are the link between the customers, sales, application engineering and operations. You ensure all customer criteria & specifications are understood, project scope is clearly defined and communicated and each project is executed to exceed expectations. You understand operational and commercial principles and can make fast and independent decisions within this set of principles.

Main Job Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a selling team, being well integrated with Account Managers and Application Engineers, to translate conceptual solutions into a defined project scope.
  • Price equipment products and relative services, negotiate T&Cs and deliver clear & concise proposals to customers.
  • Successfully execute projects while maintaining projects scope, schedule and budget:
    • Identifying project risk and develop plans for risk mitigation.
    • Coordinate with internal and external resources ensuring customer requirements and scope are met.
    • Actively manage projects by proactively identifying and resolving potential resources or process conflicts.
    • Project administration with PLM system (Windchill), ERP system (Oracle) and MS Projects.
    • Ensure successful commissioning and project closure with customers
  • Problem/Complaint Resolution: During the project execution, handle customer requests/problems by understanding causes and recommending/executing solutions remotely and on-site

Desired Qualifications/Education

  • Fluency (spoken and written) in Japanese & English. Other language such as Chinese is valuable.
  • Commercial affinity: the ability to communicate effectively and directly with customers.
  • Strong technical aptitude, both mechanically and electrically (with Siemens or Allen Brandly PLC).
  • 5+ yrs Project Management experience.
  • An entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset, with a passion for learning and growth, a willingness and ability to be self-managed and the acceptance of personal responsibility for results.
  • Background in industrial automation, experience in conveyor systems or logistics material handling is a plus. 
  • Technical qualification in industrial, electrical engineering OR equivalent working experience.
  • Willingness to travel: up to 70%
  • Good questioning skills to understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Ability to write technical documents in Japanee e.g. proposals, customer acceptance criteria.
  • Computer systems knowledge/skills, including CAD. MS Office, ERP (e.g. Oracle), PLM, PM (e.g. MS Projects).
