Intralox, L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, is transforming how we develop and deliver technical content, both to our customers and internally. To help support this effort, we’re looking for a supervisor with equal parts skill, experience, and ambition to join our Technical Communications Group and help lead our internal technical documentation. 

This can be a primarily remote role. You will be expected to live within a reasonable distance from our Louisiana headquarters or willing to travel as needed.

  • Manage a team of writers dedicated to internal tech content.
  • Provide support for career growth and personal development of team members.
  • Support technical writers in the creation of project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Manage resource needs and address capacity constraints.
  • Work closely with manufacturing groups to understand their needs and deliver content solutions that support their function.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the team and support the push for continuous improvement.
  • Drive initiatives to improve efficiencies and simplify the work of the team.


  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related discipline.
  • Background in technical writing, IT, or communications.
  • Experience managing writers or leading a team.
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and complete initiatives to achieve high quality results, including the ability to set and manage priorities for self and direct reports. 
  • Skilled at building relationships, connecting people and information, and working across groups to identify gaps and develop solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • A dynamic, motivated, self-managed individual capable of being a strong team player.
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others and helps ensure the work of the team aligns with overall department initiatives. 
  • Very high level of organizational skills and the ability to communicate simply.  
  • Familiarity with DITA and XML structures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional technical writing experience.
  • Familiarity with component content management systems (CCMS), metadata, taxonomy, terminology management, etc.
  • Experience with translation processes and the management of translations.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry or with physical equipment documentation.
  • Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams.
