Commercial Food Sanitation, LLC (CFS), an Intralox company, has an opportunity for an individual with experience in Sanitation, Food Safety, and Quality. This position is critical as CFS works with global food processors who demand consistency in programs and food safety standards. The successful candidate must be able to communicate with personnel at all levels of responsibility within an organization. He or she will be considered the first line of offense to recommend the best practices and procedures when working with food processors or their suppliers on programs. A high-level of technical ability is necessary for the candidate to provide material input for customer engagements.

This role is preferably based out of our Schiphol Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Work with hiring Managers to be an integral part of on-boarding plans for technical development.
- Be a resource to Food Safety Specialists in troubleshooting and mitigation for food safety challenges with customers and supporting ILOX commercial teams.
- Lead special projects to pursue strong technical solutions to known industry needs.
- Pursue understanding of new technologies in food safety and sanitation and disseminate knowledge to greater CFS.
- Contribute and support knowledge management such as Wiki.
- Support food customer and OEM strategies in the areas of Food Safety, Sanitation, and Hygienic Design.
- Clarifies issues; works to simplify; gets to the essence of problem or opportunity.
- Assess regional and global food processors and provide objective, world class recommendations utilizing the CFS Preventive Plan Continuum.
- Be a trainer in the CFS Institute. Lead presentations and breakouts for a global customer base in Sanitation Essentials, Hygienic Design and Advanced Trainings.
- Support or lead on-site customer workshop trainings.
- Work alongside food processors to support implementation of recommendations.
- Effectively communicate with personnel at all levels of responsibility within the customer’s organization.
- Train, and make recommendations to, equipment manufacturers on Hygienic Design Principles and strategies.
- Support development of future training offerings, including digital, as well as future customer support offerings.
- Be an active member of the food industry community. This will include engagement in Food Industry conferences, tradeshows, improvement efforts and include speaking opportunities.
Qualifications / Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Microbiology or related field.
- Significant relevant experience in the food industry with a proven track record of handling food safety challenges and improvement efforts. Experience in the food processing industry (Bakery, Meat, Poultry, Dairy, and/or Produce).
- Passionate about Hygiene/Sanitation and Food Safety.
- Excellent training and presentation skills and the ability to explain food safety concepts to those not specialized in the field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both technical and sales content, with all levels of personnel within a company.
- Ability to set priorities, utilize and coordinate resources, and manage projects from start to finish with little supervision.
- Self-managed with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communicator and team player capable of simplifying complex scenarios.

- Knowledge of process control, HACCP, and general food manufacturing principles.
- Desire to travel 55-60% of the time. International travel will be required at times.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English with fluency in other languages a plus.
