Intralox LLC is seeking a highly motivated and self-managed individual to work as a Shipping Supervisor for its Baltimore Assembly plant. As a key member of the Materials Management team, the Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for the direct supervision of the Shipping Department while practicing the Laitram Continuous Improvement Philosophy

Job Responsibilities

  • Prioritize SAFETY at all times.
  • Manage day-to-day planning for shipping activities according to the Operations business plan.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership to overcome obstacles.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, introspection, and resilience in the face of constant change and challenges.
  • Assess capacity of the team and assist in hiring and training of all new employees in the Shipping departments.
  • Establish minimum performance standards for each individual employee, evaluating employees’ performance against those standards, and providing feedback to promote individual improvement.
  • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork to ensure set productivity targets are met.
  • Assess capacity relative to demand in mid to long term so that service levels are maintained at highest level.
  • Ensure smooth flow of Finish Goods from Assembly and Kitting, to packing for on-time ship-off.
  • Continuously improve the performance and activities of the Shipping Department through the use of KPI’s, and focus on productivity.
  • Measure and report the results of department activities, including on-time shipments.


  • Driven to accomplish assignments through teamwork and communication.
  • Superior people skills. 
  • 4yr degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position as detailed in the functional job description,
  • Be available for occasional for overtime and weekend work.


  • Previous supervisory experience in Warehousing/Logistics/Shipping environment.
  • Previous experience with shipping manifest and truck layouts.
  • Previous experience managing complex finish good space planning.
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Experience conducting performance reviews.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Must be willing and able to perform a variety of tasks in support of the short- and long-term goals of the Baltimore plant.
  • Previous experience using third party logistic companies.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS systems would be an advantage.
