Intralox, L.L.C. Quality Department has an opening for the Quality Manager - MPB (Modular Plastic Belting).  The Quality Manager will lead the planning, prioritization, and implementation of Intralox’s MPB quality systems and Quality Vision.   This position will report to the Intralox Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the MPB (Modular Plastic Belting) Quality department.
  • Assess quality performance and develop and deploy strategic plans and annual objectives for the Quality team.
  • Work with Company leaders to define the scope, responsibilities, and goals of the Quality team.
  • Develop valued business partner relationships with functional leaders.
  • Implement systems and processes that establish quality requirements as part of the new product release process and are achieved throughout the manufacturing and order fulfillment processes.
  • Lead the review and analysis of customer complaint information and guide manufacturing efforts to effectively contain and implement corrective actions timely. 
  • Encourage an environment of teamwork and convey the concepts of the Laitram Business Philosophy within the department.
  • Collaborate with Equipment Quality to align expectations, processes and quality system
  • Establish and report on key performance indicators that support the Quality vision.
  • Build and maintain an audit program that ensures compliance to the quality system processes and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing, coaching, and maintaining quality standards and processes.
  • Initiate best practice sharing across global MPB and Equipment quality teams.
  • Perform management functions of employees such as hiring, terminations, creating indicants, employee reviews and compensation decisions.


Requirements:


·       Combination of a bachelor’s degree or higher education in a technical field or related field (engineering, quality, manufacturing, product development, etc.) and 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing quality environment or plastics injection molding OR 10+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment or plastics injection molding.

·       Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role for a team.

·       Strong analytical aptitude, critical problem-solving abilities, and project management skills.

·       Proficiency in basic and functional computer software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SigmaXL, InfinityQS, etc.)

·       Basic and functional understanding of the following: quality concepts, quality tools, probability, statistics, engineering processes, best practices in quality assurance and control, and change management.

·       Ability to transfer knowledge well and simplify complexity when communicating on all levels.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Proven ability to build relationships at all levels

o   Must be extremely organized, detail oriented with a high attention to accuracy and details and can handle multiple tasks.

·       Demonstration of sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·       Can work with all departments to ensure effective teamwork, collaboration, and motivation of personnel to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the Quality system.

·       Previous experience with hiring, performance management, and employee development.


Desired Qualifications:


·       Advanced degree – MS or MBA

·       Prior experience managing a Quality team in a manufacturing facility, injection molding or assemble-to-order environment.

·       Up-to-date professional quality certifications (ASQ, QAI, CSSC, etc.)

·       QMS implementation experience

·       Proven track record of making consistent, logical, and objective decisions using good judgment.

·       Ability to assume good intentions and exhibit trust in workplace relationships.

·       Passion for learning and growth with ability to manage own tasks and meet goals and objectives with little supervision.
