Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance: Inspect parts and finished goods to ensure they meet our high-quality standards.
- Product Evaluation: Perform regular evaluations and record results to maintain product excellence.
- Process Improvement: Recommend enhancements to the production process for better efficiency.
- Material Assessment: Assess incoming materials and outgoing products to ensure compliance.
- Issue Resolution: Promptly resolve quality-related issues and implement containment plans.
- Technical Expertise: Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Measurement: Measure product dimensions and compare them to specifications.
- Documentation: Document inspection outcomes and complete detailed reports.
- Training: Educate the production team about quality control practices.
- Support Goals: Assist in achieving short- and long-term manufacturing goals.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety procedures and attendance policies.
- Flexibility: Work overtime and flexible schedules as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or Associate degree.
- Experience: Previous experience in a quality-related position.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and familiarity with engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Strong math, analytical, and technical skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Pressure Handling: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Location: Living within close proximity to our Wehl operations.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 25 kilos.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an engineer-to-order and assemble-to-order manufacturing environment.
- ASQ or equivalent certification.
- Strong understanding of Quality Control Standards and Testing Techniques.
- Experience in a production inspection environment.
- Familiarity with SPC and/or six-sigma concepts.
- Knowledge of best practices for Quality Assurance in Manufacturing.
- Experience with quality tools like CMM or other measuring systems.
- Certification in quality control.
