Intralox, L.L.C., a world leader in the manufacturing of plastic conveyer belting and a growing division of Laitram, L.L.C., has a position available for 2 Quality Engineers. One is needed for our Harahan location.  One is needed for our Hammond location. These positions will report to the Production Quality Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with New Product Development teams to establish, document, and publish quality specifications and tolerances during new product design and release to manufacturing
  • Determines when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes.
  • Review and analyze part measurement results, recommend changes to processes based upon findings, and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
  • Facilitates and promotes use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action for investigations.
  • Coordinates setting specifications in cooperation with the Minor Nonconformance Committee, Material Review Board, SPC Centering Process, QSRB, Assembly, and Engineering.
  • Researches new quality technology and champions implementation of valuable technologies into our environment.
  • Mentors and trains Quality Technicians, Quality Inspectors, Processors, Operators, IPs and other staff.
  • Training includes raising awareness of SPC, developing product knowledge and visual attributes, and training individuals on tools that assist in quality assurance, such as Keyence & Infinity
  • Audit quality system insuring adherence to Quality Manual procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related
  • Demonstrated record of self-management
  • Strong attention to detail with a quality-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in standard software packages (MS Office, Excel, etc.)
  • Passion for learning and growth
  • Works well as a team player; cooperates with others
  • Ability to make and communicate consistent and logical decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional quality certifications (ASQ, etc...)
  • Experience in Statistical Process Control
  • Experience in the plastics injection molding industry
  • Experience with Infinity
