Job Description:

·         Actively participate in the development of process and design FMEAs as well as design reviews for the assigned product and related activities

·         Generate and/or champion 8-Ds for products during development and testing failures

·         Facilitate product and part dimensional layout and prepare PPAP and/or PSW submissions

·         Initiate dimensional layouts on production parts for the purpose of qualifying parts for production release

·         In conjunction with cross functional team identify significant/critical characteristics for parts and track the quality level of pre-production part runs to ensure that the part tooling meets the capability goals for the product

·         Work with cross functional team to identify, audit and qualification of supplier for purchased parts or products

·         Perform supplier capability analysis and manage APQP from suppliers

·         Work in conjunction with cross functional teams to ensure the manufacturing process is meeting the product’s defined quality level and that processes meet capability levels identified for the product

·         Lead the line readiness event activities as required and compilation of documentation and evidence.

·         Maintain documentation required for Advance Quality Planning

·         Work in conjunction with the Quality and Manufacturing team to ensure control plans, work instructions and audits to support the production line yield goals and customer requirements

·         Maintain a close working relationship with R and D, Application, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to assist in resolving issues as needed.


·         Degree in engineering, quality, industrial management with 4 years in complex manufacturing environment.

·         A minimum of 3 years of advance quality experience in new product development and product launch to market

·         Extensive experience in New Product Development Quality, Advance Quality Planning including strong proficiency in quality expectations, quality standards/best practices which includes APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, GD&T, SPC/SQC standards.

·         Must be able to work independently on quality tasks and responsibilities while being an integral part of a product development team. Operates with substantial latitude without review by superiors.

·         Good problem and risk identification and problem-solving abilities. Able to organize and prioritize completion of assigned tasks. Lead others in root cause analysis.

·         Lead auditor certification, Lean Six Sigma black belt certification and Project management professional certification is highly desirable.

·         Strong organizational, planning and the ability to successfully coordinate and complete multiple tasks/projects within and across department to meet and establish changing deadlines

·         Proficient in Microsoft office programs.  Minitab, Dashboard, Visual Factory, ERP, PLM tools and data bases interactions.
