Laitram Machinery is currently seeking a Project Manager in our Engineering department.  This person will be responsible for coordinating all phases of multiple projects from product sale to commissioning of automated industrial food processing equipment systems across multiple countries to ensure increased process efficiency for the customer.

Responsibilities:
Work with sales, engineering, and the customer to develop and ensure the optimal solution to the customer’s requirements.
Ensure clear documented scope of work and alignment to requirements.
Develop the project schedule (Engineering to Commissioning), and ensure all projects stay on budget and meet sales margin targets. 
Work with the Engineering team to track equipment design through the engineering release process. 
Coordinate with procurement and production to ensure on-time manufacturing completion.
Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure on-time delivery.
Work with sales, engineering, service and the customer to develop and document a plan for efficient installations and commissioning of equipment.
Identify project risks and develop plans for risk mitigation.
Facilitate the final quality review prior to shipping to verify equipment meets requirements.
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure timely, efficient project installation execution and completion.
Prepare and run the post-mortem project reviews to benefit from “lessons learned”. 
Communicate and interface with management, team members, and internal customers on project status and cost summaries. 
Willingness to assist in product testing and other project related tasks.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve Project Management efficiency. 

Requirements:
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree or 5+ years of relevant technical work experience.
3 years or more demonstrated project management skills with multi-discipline design projects.
Experience with software essential to the job (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCad, SmartSheets).
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to travel as needed (1 - 2 weeks/3 to 4 times a year).
Excellent relationship skills with customers, team members, subcontractors, internal customers, other internal resources (including management, engineers, and plant personnel).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and adverse conditions.
Ability to understand project requirements and define project scope, identify and allocate resources with the expertise to meet them, and coordinate resources to reach a successful outcome.
Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.

Desired Qualifications:
Project Management Professional certification (PMI-PMP).
5 years of experience working in a technical role in an Engineering, R&D and/or Manufacturing environment.
SolidWorks experience
