Intralox, LLC is currently seeking a Project Manager for the Continuous Improvement Group (CI). This individual will be primarily responsible for managing internal projects that drive business improvements. The CI Project Manager will work in our Baltimore Maryland office to encourage internal improvement opportunities in all areas of the engineering and manufacturing operations environments.  Projects can range from enterprise level IT implementations to work room floor kaizen.  The CI Project Manager will champion the Laitram Continuous Improvement philosophy and utilize Toyota Production System (TPS) tools and techniques.  The CI Project Manger will work hand in hand with Business Process Engineers, Analysts, Technical Writers and cross functional project teams to streamline and forever improve the business.  As a highly visible role within the organization, successful candidates must possess high levels of energy, professionalism, and organization, along with demonstrated disciplined approaches to planning, executing, and follow-up to achieve results.

  • Manages Continuous Improvement Projects from concept through acceptance
  • Analyze opportunities and guide actions around continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide strong project management skills, expertise in quality management and ability to make major changes in organization.
  • Propose and implement process improvements from external experience, "bringing the outside in" mentality.
  • Works with professionals in the design, development, supply chain and life cycle services to accomplish key projects that may be complex and detail-oriented
  • Support the Business to IT relationship by identifying and sequencing key business initiatives
  • Support the Continuous Improvement group’s portfolio of internal projects.
  • Partner with business teams including those on the manufacturing floor to clarify and scope the business vision for selected priorities and map out the technology/system needs
  • Lead efforts to translate high-level vision into concrete action plans for each key initiative
  • Establish and maintain a continuous improvement monitoring system
  • Develops, monitors and controls a detailed scope of work, budget and schedule.
  • Plans, directs and manages project related tasks.
  • Holds well planned and productive meetings
  • Coordinates resources across multiple departments with input from other functional managers
  • Understands commonly-used project management concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Self-driven and motivated- working to implement and improve processes
  • Process improvement, creation and documentation is a must
  • A wide degree of creativity is expected in day to day work.


  • B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years Project Management experience
  • Understanding of Project Management processes and best practices  
  • Inquisitive: Great at asking questions to get to truth
  • Experience working in cross functional teams
  • Proficient with MS Project, Word, and Excel 
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and relationship skills with engineering groups, operations groups, customers, suppliers, and contractors
  • A self-managed individual who is a team player and open to new ideas to facilitate continuous improvement
  • Some Travel Required (<10%)

Desired Qualifications

  • PMP or formal Project Management training
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
