Intralox, LLC is currently seeking a Project Engineer for the New Product Development Team in New Orleans. This individual will be primarily responsible for managing projects through Intralox’s product development process- from ideation to fielded solutions. 
This Project Engineer will be working with driven and talented people across multiple departments.  For a person to be successful in this role, they need to be highly motivated to learn new things, bring strong organization skills, enjoy navigating complexity and demonstrate a wide degree of creativity.

Responsibilities:  
  • Accountable for leading new product projects to successful completion using a stage gates release process
  • Dynamic and proactive communication as the primary point of contact across all project stakeholders, delivering the right information at the right time to the right audiences
  • Consistently identify and eliminate project issues and bottlenecks while anticipating and diffusing project risks
  • Ability to navigate within complex topics – understanding both the big picture and being able to dive into project details
  • Coordinate resources across multiple departments with input from other functional managers
  • Defines critical engineering decisions around product specifications and leads conversations with manufacturing teams to meet the objectives set in the project plan
  • Participation in design reviews for new product releases
  • Clearly defines, tracks and is responsible for analyzing test planning and test results 
  • Owns technical documentation and drawings for new products in Solidworks and CREO
  • Clear documentation for final project reports including facilitation of project retrospectives


Requirements:
  • B.S. in Engineering or related discipline
  • 3-5 years managing projects, preferably in new product development and/or manufacturing
  • Talent for processing new information quickly 
  • Transparent written and verbal communication and prioritization skills 
  • Strong organization, project management and time management skills including attention to detail 
  • Ability to multi-task with proven track record of proactivity and taking initiative to solve problems
  • Drive to get to critical decisions and deliver results
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, critically analyze work effort and seek assistance in a timely manner 
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic about continuous learning and personal growth
  • Flexibility and adaptability - able to pivot quickly when new information is learned
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs 
  • Proficiency in Solidworks
  • Future willingness to travel (10%)
  • PMP or formal Project Management training preferred
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet preferred
