Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services has an opening for a Production Planner, in the ThermoDrive department. Applicants must be highly motivated, self-managed, and have the ability to work both independently and in a performance-driven team environment.  This will be a 1st shift position that may require some overtime work.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute effective and efficient planning and scheduling methodologies
  • Schedule and release all work orders to ensure on-time completion and maximize operational efficiency
  • Participate in the development of value stream/process flow mapping and identify the greatest opportunities to improve
  • Assist in developing and executing improved inventory planning, replenishment, and management methodologies
  • Coordinates with Production Control on the maintenance of all partially supported and system supported belts to meet their respective ship dates in the most efficient manner possible
  • Ensures that all work-orders for partially supported special belts are accurate and available to be scheduled as required. Attention to details on the work order is essential.
  • Ensures that all work orders released to Order Fulfillment contain accurate, complete, and timely information. (99% work order accuracy)
  • Responds to PC requests for expedited customer orders and large project lead time quotations
  • Communicate with upstream supply chain departments to ensure component/finished goods availability
  • Support and collaborate with global order fulfillment functions
  • Creates and actively manages buffers in the schedule
  • Creates and maintains ad hoc reports related to customer order patterns to assist with business decisions 
  • Continuously seeks ways to improve capacity planning, scheduling, order data entry, and office/production floor communications

 Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s OR minimum 5 years equivalent relevant experience as a Scheduler or Production Planner in a manufacturing company.
  • ERP experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

 Desired Qualifications 

  • Previous Production Planning and Scheduling experience 
  • Oracle, especially in OM, WIP, BOM, Material Planner, and Inventory modules 
  • Advanced spreadsheet capabilities
