Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing, directing, and developing Production personnel
  • Provides on-shift workflow direction to the factory team (12-hour day and night shift positions available)
  • Responsible for managing, directing, and developing Production personnel
  • Actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping , and lean manufacturing programs
  • Develops and maintains high standards for the quality of the finished goods leaving the factory
  • Manages labor resources on shift and communicates staffing needs to Production Supervisor
  • Provides real-time personnel feedback to the Production Supervisor and also participates in performance reviews
  • Holds people accountable for the execution of documented policies and procedures
  • Identifies and encourages training opportunities

Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • 2-4 years of experience leading teams or managing labor resources
  • Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the functional job description for this position, including the ability to lift 39 lbs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills
  • Highly motivated team player possessing continuous improvement mindset
  • Interest in coaching, mentoring, and developing people
  • Above average PC skills for email and MS Office applications
  • Problem solving and issue resolution skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor, Associate or Technical degree, or equivalent experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Understanding of 5S and Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Previous manufacturing experience
