Intralox, L.L.C., a world leader in the manufacturing of plastic conveyer belting and a growing division of the Harahan-based Laitram, L.L.C., has a position available for a Production Assembly Supervisor at our state of the art molding facility located in Hammond, LA. This position will be responsible for the direct supervision of the Assembly Production department.

  • Hires new employees and manages staffing levels to meet demand
  • Direct supervision of personnel involved with the modular plastic belt fabrication process to achieve company objectives of delivering reliable, on-time, quality products  
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of assembly, reporting on performance measures, evaluating employees’ performance, and coaching to promote individual improvement
  • Ensures effective training and development for employees
  • Actively contributes to continuous improvement activities
  • Ensures employees adhere to processes and procedures
  • Builds effective teams by fostering communication and creating a positive work environment within team, across shifts and with other work groups
  • Works collaboratively with other Operations team supervisors in an effort to increase overall productivity
  • Implements operational improvements to:
    • Increase production
    • Improve quality


  • Previous supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to manage production personnel and lead small teams
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and organization skills
  • Highly motivated team player possessing a continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated problem solving and issue resolution skills
  • Strong computer skills for email and MS Office applications
  • Ability to work a 2-week rotating schedule and 12-hour shifts. Workdays: (Week 1 / M-Tu-F-Sa-Su --- Week 2 / W-Th)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding of LEAN concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline preferred
  • Oracle experience
