Intralox, L.L.C has an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Production Supervisor for our Make-To-Stock team within our Assembly facility.


Responsibilities

People

  • Direct supervision of personnel across multiple shifts involved with the modification, assembly, and machining of components.
  • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating employee performance.
  • Ensures effective training, coaching and development of employees to promote individual improvement.
  • Manages hiring of new employees and manages staffing levels to meet demand and ensure lead capacity.
  • Promptly address and resolve employee concerns, issues and conflicts.

Technical

  • Identify capacity needs and resource allocation to achieve daily production expectations.
  • Identify, organize, and execute on the necessary training to ensure lead capacity.
  • Deliver reliable, on-time, quality products to internal and external customers.
  • Ensures employees adhere to processes and procedures.
  • Provide and ensure a safe working environment for the team.
  • Support the department Leads as a backup in case of absences
    • Coordinate, observe, maintain, and execute work as scheduled for Make-to-Stock team to achieve production objectives
  • Support the department Supervisor as a backup in case of absences.
  • Ability to understand and run equipment as needed.

Reporting / LCI

  • Responsible for developing, monitoring, and reporting department metrics.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve process, reduce cost and maintain high levels of productivity and process quality using technology and automation. 
  • Actively contributes to continuous improvement activities.
  • Builds effective teams by fostering communication and creating a positive work environment within team, across shifts and with other work groups.
  • Works collaboratively with other teams and supervisors to increase overall organizational productivity.
  • Exhibit teamwork and self-management.
  • It is essential that this position be performed at the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree from an accredited college or university.(technical, engineering or business discipline preferred.)
  • 3 (or more) years of previous supervisory or team lead experience with a demonstrated ability to manage production personnel and lead medium to large teams.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (develop Reports, Formulas, pivot tables etc. and navigate custom excel tools).
  • Strong computer skills for email and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams etc.) applications.
  • Experience with operating production equipment.
  • The ability to motivate/empower others and resolve conflicts within the team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with reading and understanding technical drawings.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and organization skills.
  • Highly motivated team player possessing a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and issue/conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work a standard 40-hour week (M-F) with occasional nights and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the work year.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with experience in trouble shooting machining processes and custom assembly equipment.
  • Experience with Lean/5S concepts.
  • Oracle, Kronos experience.
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with machining equipment (CNC Mills, Lathes) and custom assembly equipment and powered equipment.
