As part of the Intralox Baltimore Operations Team, the Intralox Assembly Special Projects Leader will contribute to and execute important processes, develop people, ensure quality, monitor capacity & schedules, and live the Intralox Laitram Continuous Improvement Philosophy.

Responsibilities:

  • Specific responsibilities include:
    • Develop and/or improve Assembly work instructions.
    • Identify, then properly route, and/or fix production Quality issues.
    • Monitor capacity & capabilities of assigned cells and make recommendations to optimize productivity.
    • Coordinate resources to accomplish daily, weekly, and monthly missions.
    • Work with Engineering and Materials Management to improve Parts Flow.
    • Find the gaps in our Operations processes and then work with various stakeholders to close those gaps.
  • Support achievement of the Assembly Team’s chosen Key Performance Indicators (KPIs.)
  • Live the Intralox LCI philosophy.
  • Ensure open communication and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, introspection, and resilience in the face of constant change and challenge.
  • Understand the implications of upstream and downstream results.  Work closely with others to overcome issues.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
  • Previous experience managing complex assembly planning and/or equipment manufacturing
  • Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail.
  • Must possess a strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Desire to lead, mentor and develop others.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations.
  • Extremely high standards of excellence.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 8-10 hours with regular breaks.)
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position including the requirements to lift and carry 50 pounds and work under and around conveyors.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • Experience with Lean/5S concepts.
  • Intralox Equipment product knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Production Assembly Line processes.
  • Previous experience with Oracle operating system.
