Intralox, L.L.C., has an opening for an Oracle Apps DBA Lead within our Digital Solutions team. As our presence continues to grow, internally and with our customers, we are looking to expand our team and grow our technical expertise so we can deliver more value to users, iterate faster on features, level up our development teams, and lay a strong foundation to scale our critical applications for broad internal integration and customer use. 

This is a customer first, fast paced, dynamic and exciting work environment providing 24x7 delivery of critical customer computing services. The Apps DBA lead role is within the ERP Operations Team reporting to ERP Supervisor. This position entails a wide variety of tasks and crosses technical disciplines. Will work closely with other teams internally and with delivery personnel.  As a lead DBA, a primary responsibility will be to make decisions based on available input to help guide the DBA team on technical and functional actions required to fully support the ERP systems with respect to business needs.

  • Lead offshore DBA team in performing Database Administration tasks including DB installation/configuration
  • Responsible for Monitoring incident management / resolution and request fulfilment
  • Maintain/upgrade RDBMS including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL
  • Troubleshoot issues with the Oracle e-Business Suite application tier
  • Facilitate the proper escalation, communications, and management of critical tickets and issues by working with Solution Architect. Ticket tasks can include but are not limited to: 
    • Break fix, Account administration, Cancelling long running queries, Bouncing Concurrent Manager, Clustering, Granting access to Schemas/tables, Code migration, Patch analysis, Backups and recovery, audit reporting, performance tuning, as well as proactive environment health checks
  • Lead weekly DBA Team meeting to review previous week’s activities, address current issues and discuss upcoming activities
  • Continued learning and collaboration with the DBA Team on technology advancements in the ERP space applicable to our business functions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process, procedures and SOPs for Oracle & SQL Server Database Systems and Oracle e-Business Suite applications
  • Work independently with a minimum of supervision, while maintaining high degree of quality and quantity work output
  • Demonstrate customer service abilities that inspire trust and confidence in technical abilities
  • Perform Some level of System Administration tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Facilitate the resolution of OS monitored alerts; up to and including basic monitored alerts (space, availability, etc.)
    • Work with ITS to make recommendations for immediate and long-term resolution of issues
    • Complete all required ticket documentation; respond to tickets with expediency required to meet service level agreements
    • Identify and report any process improvements that could provide additional efficiencies to the daily operation of the ERP Support Team
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related field or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 8-year work experience in Oracle DB administration
  • Minimum 5-year work experience in Oracle e-Business Suite administration
  • Excellent general IT troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with ITIL based ticketing tools
  • Experience with ServiceNow tool
  • Experience with Performance Tuning Oracle Databases using AWR, ASH
  • UNIX/Windows Scripting
  • Oracle SQL & PL/SQL, Oracle Grid Control
  • Familiarity with RMAN and Data Pump
  • Familiarity with Load Balancing services
  • Familiarity with Oracle 19c, including the Multi-Tenant Option (1+ years)
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Edition Options and demonstrable understanding of licensable Option (Diagnostics, Partitioning, Advanced Compression)
  • Experience with SQL Server Administration: Managing Backups, Transaction logs, running scripts and basic performance tuning
  • Intermediate UNIX/Windows Administration skills
  • A strong sense of ownership and transparent acceptance of responsibility

  • Able to work in a results-orientated business with multiple concurrent projects and quick times to delivery
  • Flexibility and a “can do” attitude
  • Proven experience working within a team and 3rd party environment
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or practical Application of ITIL Principles (Incident, Problem and Change Management)
  • Oracle Weblogic
  • UNIX/Windows Administration skills
