Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services has an opening for a Preventative Maintenance Technician in the Mold Shop. Technicians are responsible for the disassembly, cleaning and reassembly of Plastic Injection Tooling with a high level of accuracy. Other tasks include troubleshooting tooling problems, minor repairs, configuration changes, and the replacement of tooling components.

Responsibilities:

  • Keeping production molds in a ready to run state.
  • Troubleshooting and predicting mechanical and performance issues in our molds.
  • Inspecting and analyzing critical components both old and new for defects.
  • Effective communication with the team (verbal and written)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High level of motivation & self-management

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of community college/trade school
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on technical experience with proven work history
  • Basic Blueprint reading skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient use of technical math
  • Proficient use of basic measuring instruments (Micrometer, Calipers, etc.)
  • Proficient use of basic computer programs (MS office products)
  • Previous manufacturing, injection molding or plastics experience.
  • Prior diagnostic and troubleshooting experience in areas such as: industrial ac, elevators, escalators, diesel mechanics, HVAC and/or automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical knowledge.
  • Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 70 pounds.
  • Required to work a 12 hour shift. (3on/2off/2on/3off).
  • Must be able to work scheduled “on call” when required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in an injection molding facility.
  • Mold Making experience
  • Machining or mechanical experience or training.
  • Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical experience or training.
  • Injection mold processing experience or training.
  • CAD/CAM/CNC experience or training.
