Intralox, LLC has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer to work in the ThermoDrive Engineering Department. This individual will be primarily responsible for developing new products and designing equipment used in the manufacturing and fabrication of products.  Solutions can range from small tools and fixtures to automated machinery and integrated manufacturing cells.  Applicants must be highly motivated, self-managed, and have the ability to work both independently and in a performance-driven team environment on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a project team to develop robust solutions for Global Manufacturing
  • Take ownership of projects through all stages—design, functional requirements, prototype development, validation, and manufacturability
  • Develop detailed parts, assemblies, and drawings using Solidworks
  • Work with external suppliers and internal manufacturing teams
  • Follow and help further develop existing Intralox Automation Standards
  • Gather and analyze project related information from applicable sources including New Products Engineering, Maintenance,  global production plants and partner manufacturers
  • Conduct and/or participate in group design reviews
  • Develop and conduct training for Production and Maintenance personnel

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Machine Design
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a “hands-on” approach to engineering
  • Solid Modeling/CAD experience
  • Must have demonstrated aptitude for creative problem solving and innovation
  • Self-managed and organized
  • Confident and clear communicator (both written and verbal)
  • Great attitude and excellent team player
  • Microsoft Office expertise
  • People skills (presentations, training, customer visits, gathering feedback, etc)
  • ~5-10% domestic / international travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Solidworks
  • New product development experience
  • Direct mechanical trade experience (Machinist, HVAC, Mechanic, Construction, Furniture or Cabinet Making, etc)
