Intralox, L.L.C. is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for the Equipment R&D Group in Hanover, MD. This individual will focus on Develop-To-Order (DTO) conveyance solutions using our Activated Roller Belt (ARB) technology. Intralox’s ARB technology is revolutionizing the material handling business by providing unique capabilities to effectively manage a wide range of products and industries. As a Mechanical Engineer in our DTO department, you design new Intralox equipment solutions and support the fabrication, assembly, testing, implementation, and productization of the project. This position will report to the DTO Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices, in design, development, analysis, and release of products and subsystems.
• Build in-depth understanding of Intralox’ Activated Roller Belt Technology.
• Collaborate and coordinate within a multi-discipline team including project managers, controls engineers, assembly technicians, and test engineers.
• Develops products utilizing equipment life cycle concepts such as manufacturability, manufacturing costs, assembly, performance, reliability, and service.
• Support the generation of product documentation and equipment manuals.
• Support equipment installation & start-up and assist with troubleshooting issues, sometimes at the customer site.
• Provide technical assistance to sales account managers and customers by phone, via written correspondence and webcasts and in person in customer facilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial machine design.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient at creating detailed parts, weldments, assemblies, and installation drawings. Inventor 3D preferred, but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and MS Office.
• Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and adverse conditions.
• Travel required (up to 10%) for equipment installation and troubleshooting; often taking place on weekends and holidays to meet customer scheduling requirements.
• Willing and able to work with tools in an industrial environment.
• Must have the ability to lift 40 pounds and climb ladders.
• Position in our Intralox office in Hanover, MD.

Desired Qualifications:

• Autodesk Inventor experience, especially in sheet metal design
• PTC Windchill
• Conveyor equipment design preferred but not required.
• Knowledgeable of stage and gate style Development Process, such as but not limited to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• Familiar with SCRUM methodology.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Intralox considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training and key skills. The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans

Salary Range $66,000 to $168,600
