Intralox, L.L.C. is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in the Equipment R&D Group to focus on transitioning new products from R&D to full scale production. This individual will be a member of a dedicated subset of R&D focused on developing internal processes to successfully launch new products and provide technical support to current product launches. This position involves design, developing documentation, coordinating with external vendors, and supporting internal groups including Assembly, Quality, Purchasing, R&D, Life Cycle Services, and Production Engineering. This position will report to the Transitions Team Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
• Identify and develop training content & work instructions (missing documentation) FMEA, work instructions, PM guidelines
• Collaborate with other teams to define the release process including required deliverables and long-term ownership.
• Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices, in design, development, analysis and release of products and subsystems.
• Visualize, develop, and integrate process improvements that promote measurable success
• Be empowered to own process improvement projects through the integration and proof of success stages
• Build in-depth understanding of Intralox’ Activated Roller Belt Technology.
• Collaborate and coordinate within a multi-discipline team including project managers, controls engineers, assembly technicians, and test engineers.
• Develop creative solutions and alternatives for specific problems in manufacturing.
• Provide technical assistance to support the development of equipment manuals and other customer facing documents.
• Support equipment installation and start-up, often on-site in customer plants
• Provide technical assistance to sales account managers and customers by phone, via written correspondence and webcasts and in person in customer facilities
• Provide lessons learned training upstream after product releases
Requirements:
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or other related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and adverse conditions.
• Ability to be present daily at our Hanover office with occasional travel to our Sparrow’s Point Operations Facility
• Travel required (up to 20%) for equipment installation and troubleshooting; often taking place on weekends and holidays to meet customer scheduling requirements.
• Willing and able to work with tools in an industrial environment.

The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans
Salary Range $66,000 to $168,600
