Intralox, L.L.C. is looking for Mechanical Drafter or CAD Technologist for the Engineer to Order (ETO) Integration and Equipment engineering team. Intralox is open to a hybrid in-office schedule.

Intralox Mechanical Engineers develop, design, and supervise the fabrication & assembly of equipment that solve complex conveyance challenges. The engineer will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, be familiar with a variety of industrial machine design concepts, develop documents needed to assemble and test their equipment and perform a variety of complicated continuous improvement tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The mechanical drafter will report to the Engineering Manager ETO equipment or integration.  

 

Responsibilities 

  • Create detail, assembly, installation, and as-built drawings according to design intent within operational timelines. (ASME Y14.24) 

  • Applies Engineering Drawing Practices (ASME Y14.100) principles and practices to create detail and assembly drawings for manufactured products. 

  • Applies appropriate Dimensioning and Tolerancing Practices (ASME Y14.5) principles and practices to create detail and assembly drawings for manufactured products. 

  • Collaborates and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill project requirements.  

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, recommend solutions and work with engineering and quality department to implement them. 

  • Build in-depth understanding of Intralox Activated Roller Belt Technology 

 

Requirements 

  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer-Aided Design Technology (CADD), or equivalent field, with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience 

  • Proficient at creating detailed component, weldment, inseparable, assembly, installation, and as-built drawings.  

  • Proficient with using measuring devices, tools, and reading & understanding mechanical drawings. 

  • Proficient with commonly used GD&T concepts.  

  • Computer proficiency in MS Office AutoCAD.  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

  • A self-managed individual who is a team player.  

  • Travel required (5-10%) for vendor visits to facilitate collaboration and drive improvement initiatives. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Create Source Control Drawings, Mechanical Schematic, Modified, and Kit drawings.  

  • Autodesk Inventor experience, especially in sheet metal fabrication 

  • Familiarity with using Solidworks PDM or Windchill PLM  

  • Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI / ASME specifications as they relate to conveyor system design
