Mechanical Design Engineer - Asiapac
Intralox, L.L.C. has an opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. As a member of this team, the qualified individual will be responsible for the design of Intralox equipment, ranging from logistics and material handling to packaging lines for consumer products, deploying the rapidly proliferating range of solutions based on patented ARB technology. This position reports to the Asia-Pac Design Engineering Manager and will be located in Shanghai office.

Job Responsibilities:
- Design standard conveyor system through parameterized software
- Take ownership of projects through all stages—design, functional requirements, validation, and manufacturability
- Follow and help further develop existing design process and tools
- Troubleshooting support for after sales team
- Provide pre-sales engineering support
- Validation and implementation of non-standard design as per request
- Conduct and/or participate in group design reviews and global meetings
- Support global standardized design team through an understanding of manufacturing process, cost estimating, sourcing, etc.
- Develop and conduct training for other teams
- Work on projects for other regions if needed
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years related work experience
- Native Mandarin and good English language skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a “hands-on” approach to engineering
- Conveyor systems experience a plus
- 3D Modeling experience utilizing SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor solid modeling software
- Familiar with PLM system, such as Windchill.
- Computer proficiency in software essential to job performance
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to interface with customers
- Travel as required for project. Some work occurs on holidays and weekends when required
- Ability to plan, coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid foundational understanding of mechanical engineering design formulas.
- Self-motivated and managed
- Base knowledge of conveyor controls a plus (PLC’s, ladder logic, photo eyes, encoders, communication networks)
