The Manufacturing Financial Analyst tracks performance and provides decision making support to the MFG leadership team specifically as it relates to financial metrics relying both on data analysis and forecasting. 

The role is part of the Intralox Finance team and liaisons between finance, global belting manufacturing, supply chain, and other parts of the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and reports regularly on key financial indicators for our manufacturing operations
  • Reviews capex projects status, develops budgets, and analyzes impact of changes to the various variables that comprise our manufacturing value stream including labor, materials, equipment, logistics costs, facilities etc. 
  • Provides insights on historical and forward-looking trends and related cost/margin impact. Initiates discussion on appropriate pricing changes when needed
  • Develops a solid understanding of product line gross margins. Keeps track of this and flags when there are concerns
  • Reviews recently introduced products compared to targeted manufacturing costs and margins and provides analysis to manufacturing and Finance leadership
  • Updates costing models on a regular basis based on review of input material and production costs and overheads
  • The role reports to Finance Director with a strong dotted line into the manufacturing team leadership

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in either Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • In-depth understanding of Accounting/Finance concepts in the context of a manufacturing environment, backed up with experience in a manufacturing operation
  • 5+ years’ experience in analytical roles including reporting and presentations to Leadership teams/C-level executives 
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills. Proficient/super user of Microsoft tools including Excel and PowerBI
  • Sound understanding of Oracle or similar ERP and related data query processes 
  • Clear communicator with ability to interact across functions and levels in a global organization
  • Highly self-managed and motivated, able to develop and execute on plans with minimal guidance 
  • Curious, inquisitive, asks questions when things don’t make sense
