In this new role, based out of our Wehl location, you will be responsible for designing work cells, tools, and processes. Your creativity and drive to improve operations will result in smoother workflows with reduced waste and enhanced quality. You will operate within an international environment, frequently collaborating with peers abroad. As a vital member of the production team, you will report directly to the Production Manager.

  • Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment, and collaborating with equipment vendors.
  • Design, build, and implement improvements to production processes.
  • Identify maintenance and design improvements for pre-defined products.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and manufacturing operations to develop lean processes for materials management, assembly, and product shipping.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through production process improvements.
  • Act as the designated production engineer on product launch teams.
  • Collaborate closely with quality teams to develop and implement robust quality control processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining production process documentation.
  • Act as the designated liaison to other specified functional groups.
  • Advocate for a growth mindset and a continuous improvement mentality.
  • Champion lean practices.
  • B.S. in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Business Engineering.
  • Strong mechanical and analytical abilities.
  • Lean Green Belt certification.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-managed individual with strong teamwork skills.
  • Available to work primarily at the production facility in Wehl.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inventory management, lean practices, and manufacturing methodologies.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical design.
  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP software, Windchill PLM, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
