Laitram Machine Shop, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a supplier of quality, high precision components has a position available for an Manufactuing Analyst. This position will be responsible for analysis on strategic projects, capacity planning, developing & reporting metrics, and empowering business leaders to make data driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the capacity planning and production scheduling efforts for the Machine Shop.

• Identify any operational risks that may impact on time delivery to customers.

• Develop solutions to mitigate the risk and effectively communicate them.

• Capture and organize forecasting information.

• Present the forecasting data to support the decisions making process.

• Draft and present information to support the Supervisors and Leaders in making data driven decisions.

• Analyze, proactively maintain, and improve the tools used in support of the efforts.

• Collaborate in the development of operational metrics and financial reporting for Machine Shop.

• Manufacturing process optimization – continuous improvement focus

• Provide analytical support for strategic projects.


Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Accounting or Computer Science

• 2+ years of experience in a planning, scheduling, or analyst role

• Demonstrated ability of using a structured method to problem-solving.

• Exhibit teamwork and self-management with a strong sense of ownership.

• Be well organized with exceptional communication and presentation skills.

• Proficient in use of Excel and other analytical tools.

• Must have a positive attitude and strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

• A keen analytical mind with a sound understanding of economics, business, and engineering principles.


Desired Qualifications

• MBA/Training in economics or financial analysis a plus.

• 2+ years of work experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product or Project Management or Financial Analysis

• 2+ years of work experience in manufacturing/assembly environment

• Proficient experience with Microsoft office suite, and Oracle.
