Learning & Development Specialist

In this role, we are looking for someone who will drive understanding and execution of our continuous improvement philosophy, create and deliver learning and leadership programs, and serve as a trusted sounding board for employees and managers. We are looking for principle-based thinkers who excel at discussing core values and their connection to success at work. It’s a unique opportunity to help shape the behaviors, skills, and knowledge of employees and managers in a leading global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Laitram Continuous Improvement (LCI) business plan, including the LCI Program and business philosophy, employee support and leadership development.
  • Design and deliver training, workshops and blended learning tools that enhance the skills and guide the behaviors of our people.
  • Work with managers, trainers and colleagues to improve engagement and learning outcomes of their trainings and workshops.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that advance productivity across the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years experience in a training & people development role, including topics related to values, principles and soft skills.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and influencing skills
  • Able to translate abstract concepts into practical application in English
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Inspires trust and relates well to people of varying roles and levels
  • Confident, resilient and takes initiative
  • Strong planning and organizational skills and habits
