As the Key Account Manager, you manage specific global key customers (end users, OEM, System Integrators) including the opportunity to work with a Global Key Account with the responsibility of developing the business. 

In this position you will manage various types of major accounts, on different levels, mainly in Western Europe. At the same time, you have the strategic capability to help grow the key account into a customer of even greater proportion and even bigger importance. 
Your main responsibilities:
  • Regularly visit customer plants, corporate sites and HQ’s to understand customer’s production realities, identify opportunities and customer needs where Intralox can bring value, and introduce products, services, and solutions to your customers
  • Create, own, and implement a strategic account plan for the Key Account
  • Quickly develop credibility and strong (commercial) relationships with customers through integrity, personality, and solid communication skills
  • Continuously drive account and industry analysis and work closely together with the team(s) to strengthen the value proposition
  • Identifying and understand market developments & trends and sales opportunities to help build current and long-term strategy
  • Evaluate customer needs and introduce Intralox products, services, and solutions across applications, using a technical and consultative approach
  • Structure creative business packages (technology and services) that tie Intralox’s best strengths and value propositions with solutions to the customers most critical needs
  • Reporting to management: Present forecasts & facts about customers and provide an accurate picture of your clients so that an effective strategy can be built, and decisions be made
  • Push to drive business and actively contribute to developing sales strategies
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and the internal teams
  • Build and maintain high level relationships with senior executives and key decision makers at key customers
  • Attend industry events at a global scale 

Desired skills & knowledge:
  • MSc or BSc degree in engineering
  • Experience in B2B sales in a technical environment
  • Experience in the FMCG or packaging is a strong advantage
  • Excellent negotiation skills, well-structured and organized, good communicator on different levels  
  • Proven track record in account management, experience in project management is a plus
  • The ability to be both directing and serving, you are practical and hands-on, self-managed
  • Commercially driven to be successful and therefore willing to operate in the field as much as necessary
  • Demonstrate strong technical and commercial skills. 
  • You are an objective, critical, conceptual, and strategical thinker
  • Experienced in calling on decision-makers, self-managed, a team player and capable of simplifying complex scenarios 
  • Possess a confident outlook along with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset
  • Shopfloor-to-Boardroom ability to connect with people
  • Technology savvy and comfortable in the hybrid work space
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written). Other European languages are a plus
  • Willing to travel internationally (Western Europe, +/- 50%)

You will ideally be based in The Netherlands, working from a home office. Intralox EMEA HQ is located in Amsterdam (relocation to Hoofddorp in summer 2023).
