We are seeking an Instructional Designer to lead the design and manage the development of blended training experiences for our customers. This role sits on an expanding global Customer Training team that aims to delight our customers with training that amplifies customer value. The right individual is passionate about simplifying technical concepts and creating learning experiences that are informative, sticky, and fun. This person will serve as project manager with responsibility for overseeing training development through a cross-functional team that includes subject matter experts, digital developers, and trainers.  

This is an exciting opportunity to be a key contributor to our growing program as we build a robust educational service for our customers that solves their most critical conveyance needs. This role reports to the Customer Training Program Manager and is based remotely in the US.

  • Lead the curriculum and instructional design of strategic training initiatives for customers  
  • Partner closely with SMEs to understand product and service needs and translate those technical concepts and ideas into learning experiences   
  • Project manage and oversee the development of training deliverables in partnership with SMEs, developers, and trainers - from initial concept through implementation  
  • Design, storyboard, and support in-house and third-party digital developers in the creation of digital training products 
  • Support Intralox trainers to understand instructional plans and implement them effectively  
  • Apply instructional design principles to produce and manage high-quality instructional assets in a variety of delivery media: virtual and live training, digital courses, performance support videos, animations, job aids, live labs, self-assessments, facilitation guides, and engaging exercises for a blended learning environment 
  • Support the refinement of educational and instructional design standards and practices for the Customer Training program 



  • 5+ years of experience in curriculum and instructional design; experience with blended programs and ADDIE model preferred 
  • Confident, resilient, and proactive with strong planning, project management, and organizational skills  
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate mechanical ideas and concepts  
  • Skilled in cutting through ambiguity and complexity to clearly convey a concept and message 
  • Proven ability to coach others and drive instructional programs through implementation and evaluation 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse audiences and stakeholders  
  • Open to feedback, with ability to work collaboratively with others 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with customers and internal stakeholders
