We are seeking an Information Architect who will work with the business to develop effective architectures for managing information and knowledge across the enterprise.  The ideal candidate strengthens the impact of business information through the identification, definition, and analysis of how information assets aid strategies and business outcomes.

You are a self-starter, a critical thinker, and a problem solver who can effectively communicate the benefits of the concepts and technologies related to information architecture to a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive information architecture strategy by partnering with business leadership to understand, validate, and rationalize the information value chain across the enterprise
  • Develop strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access, use, and retirement
  • Aid in the definition of data classifications and data zoning to allow information assets to be identified and managed
  • Work within cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise in the planning and design of business initiatives as they relate to information architecture
  • Establish and implement technology migration strategies for applications or architectures
  • Create Enterprise Architecture (EA) documents to support and capture designs
  • Participate in peer-reviewing EA documents developed by others

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of experience in information system design, or related field
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, library and information science, or a related study (or equivalent project-related experience)
  • Business acumen, and the ability to communicate to executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike
  • Data modeling, taxonomy, and data classification expertise at the enterprise level
  • Proven ability to organize, categorize, and modularize large volumes of seemingly disparate information
  • Knowledge of cloud data architecture, cloud technologies and integration between cloud and on-premise data sources
