Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for an Industrial Engineer to study and improve processes, advocate Lean principles, and conduct practical problem solving. This ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-managed, flexible, and service-oriented and possesses strong integrity and professionalism. Some travel is required within North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

Job Responsibilities

·       Develop most efficient ways to use people, machines, materials, and information to assemble product

·       Help increase company productivity and efficiency

·       Assist in cost analysis, production planning and inventory analysis

·       Design methods to ensure product quality

·       Optimize plant layout and develop continuous flow lines

·       Resolve production and information system (Oracle) problems

·       Write process procedures, develop accurate flow charts, and perform time studies

·       Determine material flow, material presentation and operation sequences

·       Perform mathematical calculations to determine best manufacturing processes

·       Evaluate the effects of product design changes

·       Design work cell layouts for existing production and new product launches

·       Determine and maintain KPI standards

·       Measure variances to standards, identify out of control variances, investigate reasons, suggest solutions, install and follow-up

·       Lead and coach practical problem solving

·       Lead and coach Lean principles applicable to Intralox

·       Some overnight travel required

 Skills and Qualifications

·       College education (preferably Industrial Engineering) or equivalent degree

·       0-2 years of professional work experience

·       Prefer experience in lean manufacturing techniques 

·       Prefer knowledge of conveyor construction and conveyance systems

·       Ability to run Kaizen events

·       Excellent communications skills

·       Problem solver

·       Practical and “hands-on”

·       Proficient in Excel, Simulation and other analytical tools

·       Energetic and well organized

·       Must have life-long learning attitude
