Our Global IT Services Group is looking for an IT Systems Administrator. This role is based in Shanghai and reports to the IT Service & Support Supervisor (EMEA/APAC) who is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. You get positive energy out of successfully supporting our internal end-users, so they can focus on delivering added value to our external customers.
What will you be doing? 

The primary responsibilities for this position include effective operation, maintenance and support of hardware, software, network and related infrastructure as needed. You will provide technical break/fix support onsite and remote, to our colleagues across the globe with a primary focus on the APAC region. No day is the same in the dynamic environment of Intralox. As a member of our team, you are mainly responsible for handling different incoming tickets, such as troubleshooting a hardware issue to deep diving into incidents and finding the right solution. The satisfaction and praise you get when you successfully support our end-users, make you feel excited about your job. 

Furthermore, you are responsible for: 
  • Interface and maintain effective communication with business users and other global IT team members. 
  • Assisting other IT teams with onsite actions as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. 
  • Assist with managing regional vendor relationships, and contract renewals.

Next to this, you possess the following: 
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field; or relevant experience
  • Native Mandarin Chinese. Excellent communication skills in English. 
  • Minimum 4 years of proven IT and customer service work experience is an advantage.
  • Strong competency and interest in Information Technology.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned work according to business need and priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Self-managed; ability to work well alone and in a global team environment.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed. In most cases, this will be planned, but some instances will involve little advance notice 
  • Willing to travel internationally (not on a regular basis) 
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows10, Office365, Basic Networking 
  • Knowledge of ITIL Foundation, and CCNA are an advantage.
