Laitram L.L.C. Information Technology Department has an opening for an IT Project Manager (Facilities & Infrastructure) reporting to the IT Strategy & Planning supervisor.  This individual will work with driven and talented people across multiple companies and departments to execute on a portfolio of Facilities and OT related projects that support our company’s growth.  For a person to be successful in this role, they need to be highly motivated to learn new things, bring strong organizational skills, enjoy navigating complexity, and demonstrate a wide degree of creativity.

The successful candidate will be a member of our IT team focused on Facilities & Infrastructure-related initiatives.  They will work collaboratively with IT program managers, business analysts, solutions architects, system engineers, system admins, and other IT project managers.

  • Manage global facilities and infrastructure projects in a highly collaborative environment
  • Consistently eliminate project bottlenecks while also diffusing project risks
  • Effectively manage ambiguity and drive to objective decision-making across diverse teams
  • Apply an appropriate sense of urgency in achieving milestones
  • Transparent communication of project realities as they fit into the larger picture
  • Liaison with our facilities department, local construction companies, local telco providers, local wiring companies, and other third-party vendors.

  • B.S. or B.A. from an accredited university or 5+ years managing projects 
  • Familiarity with IT Infrastructure (networking/server/telephony/operational technology) concepts as it relates to manufacturing facilities
  • Strong leadership and team building skills with proven problem-solving strategies 
  • Honest and clear communicator with the ability to simplify complex problems 
  • Technically minded, with the ability to conceptually grasp and communicate technical information 
  • A knack for processing new information quickly and in real time
  • Accountable to the team, understanding impacts for different stakeholders
  • Strong remote-meeting facilitation skills 
  • Ability to be self-managed while working fully remote 
  • Experience in writing/updating technical documentation including user guides and support guides
  • Experience with one or more project management software tools (preferably ServiceNow)
