In this role, you will be a multi-country team leader responsible for a wide range of HR Operations across China, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. This is a key role within the global HR group and you will be accountable for driving continuous improvement and change to ensure our North APAC HR operations support rapid organizational growth. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on our people & culture, leading self-managed team members to deliver end-to-end HR activities and operating in partnership with employees from all areas of our business. You will be a member of our APAC Management and respective Country Leadership Teams in North APAC. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture APAC, you will serve as one of our main HR contacts between our US Corporate HR group and European Head Office in the Netherlands.


  • Manage the HR infrastructure and processes for 150+ employees in China, Japan, South Korea and Thailand
  • Own our APAC HR policies and procedures in each respective country and ensure these remain fully compliant with local labor law, tax systems and regulatory requirements
  • Manage service scope and service levels with all existing and new payroll, legal, tax and business advisory partners.  
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives across a range of HR disciplines e.g.  On/Off-Boarding, Payroll, Benefits, Mobility, HRIS, CSR and employee engagement activities
  • Be a champion of our culture. Provide trusted advice to employees and managers on a broad range of HR policies, employment law and people matters
  • Maintain regular connectivity between HR teams and all commercial, technical and manufacturing teams at the local level.
  • Oversee facilities management and office administration for the China head office and plant facilities


  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. Japanese or Korean an advanta10+ years in HR Operations or broad HRBP experience
  • Sound working knowledge of China employment practices and compliance requirements related to Comp & Benefits, HRIS and Mobility. HR knowledge of Japan, South Korea and other APAC countries an advantage.
  • Strong people leadership skills. Experienced in coaching and developing others
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Objective critical thinker.
  • Ability to engage and partner with others across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills. Is highly organized and prioritizes well. 
  • Self-starter who takes the initiative to lead and drive improvements without constant direction.
