Commercial Food Sanitation, LLC (CFS), an Intralox company, has an opportunity for an individual with experience in high level leadership in Food Safety, Sanitation, and Quality with an entrepreneurial spirit. This candidate will be responsible to facilitate and grow partnerships with global restaurants and their food supply chains.  The position will work with Regional CFS teams to increase customer value for present relationships as well as developing new ones.  This position will also be expected to work globally in the food Safety community.  This will include engagement with industry conferences, teams, and improvement efforts.  Leadership in these areas as appropriate will be expected. 


This position is critical as CFS works with food processors who demand consistency in programs and food safety standards and continuous improvement. The successful candidate must be able to communicate with personnel at all levels of responsibility within an organization. A high-level of technical ability is necessary in order for the candidate to provide material input in discussions and customer linkage.  He or she will need to be able to recommend proven successful practices and procedures when working with food processors or their suppliers on programs, procedures, cleaning methods, designs, pathogen controls, allergen management and other food safety challenges.

The position is home office based or office based in Harahan, LA.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Microbiology or related field

  • Passionate about Hygienic Design, Sanitation, and Food Safety

  • Significant leadership experience in the food processing industry in Food safety, hygiene, and sanitation with a food manufacturing company

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, in both technical and sales content, with all levels of personnel within a company

  • Excellent training and presentation skills and the ability to explain food safety concepts to those not specialized in the field

  • Ability to set priorities, utilize and coordinate resources, and manage projects from start to finish with little supervision

  • Ability to effectively work on a team, either as a leader or member of the team.

  • Solid understanding of Sanitation Concepts and the ability to interact with Microbiologists, Sanitation Managers, Engineers, and Management

  • Knowledge of process control and general food manufacturing principles

  • Ability and desire to innovate and invent, to create and implement new ideas and processes for sanitation

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP

  • Desire to travel 50-60% of the time.  This travel will primarily be within the U.S. but global travel will be required.
