Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for a Field Service Technician to provide field installation support, training, troubleshooting & resolve (warranty) issues in Australia & New Zealand and occasional support for other APAC countries. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-managed, flexible, service-oriented and possesses strong integrity and professionalism. Significant travel is required, mainly within Australia & New Zealand. 
This role is based in our Melbourne plant, reporting to Lifecycle Services Manager (South APAC).

Main Job Responsibilities:
  • Product testing on ARB™ machines or systems, in our Melbourne-based operations facility.
  • Coordinate factory acceptance tests of finished equipment in-house and/or at customer sites.
  • Provide installation and start-up support for new major ARB™ installations at customer site.
  • Provide customers with operator and maintenance training.
  • Conduct maintenance and health checks of installed ARB™ equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance and health checks of installed spiral machines. 
  • Write service reports & communicate with stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and provide on-site repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Maintain & manage spare parts inventory.
  • Management of Tradeshow & demonstration equipment.
  • Travel required
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Suitable education in Electrical/Mechanical or equivalent work experience with industry qualifications.
  • Necessary license to perform field services. 
  • Minimum of 3 years in a field service role involving mechanical/electrical maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical & electrical/controls aptitude. Basic electrical skills and VFD/PLC experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to field installation team, able to well-integrated with the team.
  • Problem solver.
  • Practical and “hands-on”.
  • Able to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Energetic, well-organized, and a team player.
  • Service and customer-oriented.
  • Strong knowledge of conveyor constructions and conveyance systems is highly beneficial.
  • Must be able to travel internationally. Must have a Passport. Must have the COVID vaccination requirements.
