Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services, has a position available for a Field Service Technician.  This position requires a strong background in mechanical technologies in order to provide technical service and support to the commercial sales teams for installation of modular plastic belting technology in conveyor applications.  This position reports to the Applications Engineering Supervisor and works in support of our FoodSafe programs.

  • Perform varied technical and sales roles to support, develop and promote modular plastic belt conveying applications
  • Provide technical assistance and training to sales account managers and customers remotely by phone, through written correspondence, webcasts, and in person at customer facilities
  • Support, coordinate and supervise belt installations in customer facilities
  • Field troubleshooting and correction of any problem installations or applications
  • Perform belt performance program calculations
  • Service emphasis upon customers in North America 


  • Strong mechanical background with experience in processing or conveying equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented personality and approach
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, leadership and team building
  • Computer proficiency with demonstrated experience in MS Office (Word & PowerPoint)
  • Extensive travel requirement (50%+)
