The Integration Team specializes in turnkey material handling solutions for the postal and parcel handling industry. The team works closely with customers to determine their needs and then design, engineer, manufacture, install, commission, train and support conveyance and sortation solutions for them. The desired candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with a willingness to both supervise and perform ‘hands on’ work.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead, manage and support multiple high performance installation crews consisting of Intralox and subcontracted site supervisors, mechanical and electrical leads, and technicians.
  • Promote Safety in the field and on campus. Ensure all safety practices and procedures are understood, adopted, and adhered to within their team.
  • Accomplish team results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Understand a variety of complicated conveyor and associated equipment installation tasks.
  • Coach, counsel, and direct employees.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Schedule and assign Intralox and subcontractor installation resources.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Collaborate with team to develop installation strategies to maximize installation efficiencies.
  • Promote best practices, develops standards and processes to ensure high quality, complete installations.
  • Perform on-site inspections to ensure a quality installation.
  • Work closely with and direct office support personnel and field technicians to complete projects.
  • Ensure equipment, tools, parts, materials, etc. are scheduled in accordance with the installation strategy to streamline installation.
  • Work closely with the project managers, mechanical and electrical engineers, and proposal team.
  • Ensure company culture is implemented and adhered to within their team.
  • Assist with system commissioning and troubleshooting of field installations.
  • Extensive travel to customer sites (75% or more) on weekends, holidays, and outside of regular working hours as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the field installation supervision of conveyors and sorters.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team of mechanical technicians and/or crews of staff. Including involvement with hiring, firing, personnel development, goal planning, performance reviews etc.
  • Familiarity with a variety of the field installation concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Willing and able to work with a wide variety of people.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and ability to build effective relationship with direct reports, engineering groups, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Must be detailed oriented, organized, and must have a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and delegate work tasks effectively.
  • Proficient with hand tools, powered tools, forklifts, vertical lifts, etc.
  • Must have the ability to fabricate parts as required.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient at working from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • A self-managed individual who is a team player with strong leadership skills.
  • Able to travel extensively (75% or more), work weekends, holidays and overtime when required.
  • Must have ability to lift 75 pounds and climb ladders.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Project and AutoCAD programs.
