Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of cleaning tasks including but not limited to dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, trash collection and removal.
  • Operates a variety of cleaning equipment including heavy floor waxing cleaning machines, strippers, buffers, carpet shampooers or forklifts.
  • Keeps building entrance(s) clean and free of litter, trash, debris.  Monitor landscaping beds for trash/debris.
  • Empties cigarette urns and ash receivers in designated smoking areas if needed.
  • During inclement weather, assists with keeping sidewalks and entrances clean and free of snow and ice.
  • Bales cardboard waste.
  • Disposes recyclables to exterior recycling container.
  • Ensures restrooms are kept in a neat and clean condition.  Restroom supplies will be monitored and replenished, as needed.
  • Performs set-up and breakdown of tables/chairs/equipment for special events/meetings/lunches
  • Performs light maintenance duties as directed by Client’s designated facility POC.  Examples of light maintenance duties:
  • Light bulb changes
  • Replace damaged ceiling tiles
  • Hang pictures, install white boards, assemble furniture
  • Touch up painting/patching/minor drywall repair
  • Unclogging drains, toilets
  • Assists Facility Maintenance Lead in building maintenance and repair tasks
  • Removes litter and debris around campus grounds, as needed
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as requested.
  • Adhere to company attendance policy.

Requirements:

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One year of facilities related experience
  • A valid driver’s license. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to deliver excellent customer satisfaction.
  • The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing up to fifty (25) pounds. 
  • Must be a team player, committed to working in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, ability to send and receive emails.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude. Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
