This hands-on internship in the Intralox Global Events team will give you the opportunity to work on and assist with the planning and execution of Intralox’s flagship, and largest conference in Europe that takes place in September of 2024. During your internship with us, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work on an entire event, from planning to completion. This will be a rewarding internship showing the full life cycle of an event and you will play a direct role in all aspects of planning, on-site and post event requirements.
Your internship will be divided in pre-event, on-site and post event activities. Think of registration activities from building out our registration platform thinking through UX of the event website and event application, updating registrations and acting as our first line of support to our customers. Supporting and overseeing offsite event locations including booking locations, managing conference delegates needs, and working with internal and external speakers and large external suppliers, you can do it all! Our events have over 350 people attend, it’s a packed and busy conference schedule throughout the days and fun and engaging incentive events/dinners in the evenings.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- We are looking for a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management or Administration or Marketing with a talent for Project Management.
- You are eager to learn, motivated and hands-on. You have excellent planning, prioritizing and organizing skills – you love to juggle multiple tasks and can organize like Marie Kondo.
- You need to be comfortable using Excel and other Microsoft products as well as comfortable learning event specific software.
- An outgoing personality who is confident in their communication skills, detail orientated and organized, who has a keen eye for detail.
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and have a passion to use/put your project management skills into practice.
- You are fluent in both written and spoken English. Any additional European language skill is an advantage.
- You are available to start by March 2024 or earlier and can work with us for a full 6 months full-time (40 hrs/week) internship. Our event will be held in the week of 23 Sept 2024.
- You need to be enrolled as a student towards attaining a degree to be eligible for this internship and to secure university approval to start the assignment. If you are not a European national, you will also need to provide an approved Nuffic agreement.
- Our office is in Hoofddorp (25 minutes from Amsterdam by train).
- We offer you a monthly allowance and cover your costs to get to and from work, a fair share of responsibility and great exposure to many areas of marketing at a global leader in the manufacturing sector.
