Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager-China
Intralox is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Professional to support all elements and functional areas of the Intralox EHS Management System for our China Plant. This position requires a strong background in safety and industrial hygiene risk management. Ergonomic experience is a plus. The EHS Professional will report directly into the Head of People & Culture APAC and will be based out of Intralox Shanghai Office/Plant, China.

Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Safety Programs for China: Create and maintain comprehensive safety programs tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in EHS regulations and ensure the organization remains compliant. Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
- Conduct Occupational Health and Safety Audits and job-related Risk Assessments to ensure compliance with EHS standards, identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Monitor Industrial Hygiene: Assess and control workplace exposures to chemical, physical, and biological hazards.
- Manage Hazardous Materials and Waste Management: Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials to minimize environmental impact while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Lead Safety Committee agenda: Facilitate safety committee meetings and engage employees in safety initiatives and discussions that promote safety instructions, procedures or guidelines to develop a safety culture.
- Manage Incident Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and oversee the reporting and documentation of all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, ensuring thorough investigations and follow-up actions.
- Coordinate Emergency Preparedness: Create and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to ensure preparedness for potential incidents including emergency drills and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Native Mandarin speaker, fluent in English.
- 5 or more years of experience in EHS management, preferably in manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others to prioritize safety and environmental responsibility.
- Motivated, self-managed professional with the ability to anticipate and react to the needs of multiple managers and organizational needs without direct supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EHS management and training software for tracking compliance and reporting.
