The Assembly Factory Floor Supervisor is front line leader who ensure that we execute the day-to-day of our Operations so that we achieve our assembly goals.  They are responsible for managing people, equipment, and areas.  Selecting and developing outstanding Supervisors is critical to Operational Excellence and making our team the best it can be.

As part of the Intralox Baltimore Operations Team, the Assembly Supervisor will manage dedicated assembly lines, and pre-assembly lines. The Supervisors will contribute to and execute important processes, develop people, ensure quality, monitor capacity & schedules, and live the Intralox Laitram Continuous Improvement Philosophy.

We have 2 shifts currently open. 1st shift work hours will be: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm and 2nd shift work hours will be: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.

  • Always prioritize safety.

  • Lead a team.  Inspire, coordinate, and manage a team of five to twenty-five individuals. 

  • Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all team deliverables.

  • Maintain continuous 100% accountability of people, equipment, and tools.

  • Utilize problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership to overcome obstacles.  Demonstrate flexibility, introspection, and resilience in the face of constant challenges.

  • Conduct regular planning for capacity and resource allocation. 

  • Evaluate work performance by conducting performance reviews.  Identify skills and knowledge gaps in your team members and then coach them to close those gaps. 

  • Work collaboratively with other Supervisors, Leads, and Managers to increase Productivity and ensure Quality.

  • Lead operational, safety, and equipment training for team members.

  • Communicate updates to stakeholders and other departments as needed.

  • Manage floor-level day-to-day staff including setting staffing schedules and performance management responsibilities (hiring/firing.)

  • Develop and/or improve Assembly work instructions.

  • Identify, then properly route, and/or fix production Quality issues.

  • Monitor capacity & capabilities of assigned cells and make recommendations to optimize productivity.

  • Coordinate resources to accomplish daily, weekly, and monthly missions.

  • Work with Engineering and Materials Management to improve Parts Flow.

  • Identify gaps in our Operations processes and then work with various stakeholders to close those gaps.


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering OR equivalent work experience.

  • At least 4+ years of stable work experience as a lead, foreman, or supervisor in a manufacturing environment including experience with scheduling work and managing employee tasks.

  • Must possess a strong technical and mechanical aptitude.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership skills to overcome obstacles. 

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, introspection, and resilience in the face of constant challenges.

  • Good hand/eye coordination.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills and experience.

  • Positive attitude.  Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. 

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and to be a team player.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, holidays, and weekends, as required.

  • Desire to lead, develop and mentor others.

  • Driven to accomplish assignments through teamwork and communication.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software.

  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office products.

  • Previous experience with Oracle operating system.

  • Experience with Lean/5S concepts.

  • Intralox Equipment product knowledge.

  • Familiarity with Production Assembly Line processes.
