Laitram is seeking a dynamic and creative Employee Communications Specialist to join our People & Culture team. In this position, you'll play a vital role in expanding the reach of our Employee Communications function, helping to generate and distribute content that resonates with our diverse global workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as dedicated resource to specified business areas to ensure effective and robust communications
  • Support the development and roll out of internal communication activities by providing strong administrative and coordination support.
  • Partner with People and Culture teams to bring about successful outcomes for corporate-wide initiatives.
  • Build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Produce high quality internal communications materials (email campaigns, flyers, web-based content)
  • Assist in employee event planning and execution
  • Serve as a SME for the company’s employee communication platforms
  • Develop clear understanding of Laitram’s Continuous Improvement Philosophy

Qualifications:

  • 3 years+ Internal Communications/Public Relations/Marketing experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent/ Degree preferred
  • Familiarity with basic video editing software (i.e. - Adobe Premier Pro/Rush, iMovie, Camtasia)
  • Experience with designing and producing graphics and collateral  - Familiarity with Adobe programs is a plus
  • High level of computer literacy, advanced skills in all Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Excellent writing and story development skills
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in managing internal communications and moving between multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to organize and convert key information into a clear, concise and informative written documents
  • Experience working in and training others in digital content management systems
  • Well-developed organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and good judgment
  • Proven ability to work autonomously or in a team as required
  • Capacity to prioritize work and negotiate on conflicting timeframes
  • Up to 25% travel required
